Obergurgl and Hochgurgl are located in one of Austria’s most snow-secure ski areas. Situated at an altitude of 1,930 m (Obergurgl) and 2,150 m (Hochgurgl), the two villages lie in the south of the Sölden municipality. From autumn through spring, a trip to Obergurgl and Hochgurgl guarantees an exceptional ski and winter holiday. Surrounded by the high peaks of the Ötztal Alps, both villages lie in the Gurgler Valley, which extends southward to the Ötztal.

The lifts to the ski area start directly from the villages, with the slopes of Obergurgl connected to those of Hochgurgl via a cable car. In total, 110 km of pistes are available.
