Welcome to Seefeld! Located at the western foot of the Karwendel Mountains, the municipality of Seefeld sits on a high plateau at an altitude of around 1,200 meters. Known as the “Olympic region” due to past Winter Games, Seefeld is a charming part of Tirol, nestled between the peaks of the Karwendel, Wetterstein, and Mieminger groups. This well-regarded North Tyrolean destination lies about 20 kilometers northwest of Innsbruck and is popular in both winter and summer.

Seefeld and its surrounding villages are renowned for cross-country skiing, offering excellent snow conditions and a network of trails approaching 280 kilometers, including specialized loops. In addition, the region offers ski areas such as the Rosshütte and Gschwandtkopf, ensuring that skiers and snowboarders have plenty of options. Groomed winter hiking paths, the ice rink at the Sport Center, and the sledding run at Reitherjochalm complete a perfect active winter holiday. Year-round enjoyment and action are provided by the experience pool at the Seefeld Sport and Congress Center.

In summer, the idyllic Wildsee, located at the edge of town, invites visitors to enjoy nature bathing. Adjacent to the Reither Moor nature reserve, the area boasts a rich variety of plant life and gentle hiking opportunities. For climbing and mountaineering enthusiasts, the Karwendel Nature Park offers plenty of valleys and peaks to explore. The Nördlinger Hütte can be reached easily from the village, serving as a starting point for further summit tours, such as the Reither Spitze. The Karwendel Mountains also provide excellent terrain for mountain biking. To the west of Seefeld, the prominent peak of the Hohe Munde in the Mieminger Range is a popular tour destination.

Golfers are well catered to in Seefeld: in addition to a 9-hole course with a golf school in town, an 18-hole course on the unique landscape of the Seefeld Plateau invites visitors to enjoy a round of golf with spectacular alpine scenery.
