Lermoos
At the foot of the majestic Wetterstein Mountains with the Zugspitze, the municipality of Lermoos stretches out in the district of Reutte. This village in the Außerfern region lies in a wide basin surrounded by the peaks of the Lechtal Alps, Ammergau Alps, and the Wetterstein range. Lermoos is located at the edge of the Ehrwalder Becken, on the flat expanse known as the Lermooser Moos, a former marshland that is now a protected nature reserve. From this almost level valley floor, the surrounding mountains create a breathtaking backdrop for hiking and cycling. The holiday resort of Lermoos lies at the heart of this extraordinary landscape.
